The Communist Party of Kenya expresses its deepest solidarity with the Lebanese Communist Party and the courageous people of Lebanon in the face of the latest brutal acts of aggression by the Zionist entity, Israel. The criminal bombardment of Lebanon, resulting in the death of more than 1,000 martyrs, the injury of 3,000 others, and the forced displacement of half a million people, is yet another blatant act of state terrorism that can only be described as an extension of the genocidal violence being waged against our Palestinian brothers and sisters in Gaza.
We strongly condemn these acts of aggression that target not only the infrastructure and civilians of Lebanon but seek to destabilize and weaken the spirit of resistance that has for decades been a beacon of defiance against imperialism and Zionism. This onslaught, like the continued siege on Gaza, reflects the imperialist agenda of Israel and its backers in the United States and other Western powers, who remain complicit in these crimes against humanity.
The Communist Party of Kenya stands shoulder to shoulder with the Lebanese people and all progressive forces across the region in your just struggle for sovereignty, dignity, and self-determination. We recognize the historic role of the Lebanese resistance, especially the Lebanese Communist Party, in resisting imperialist forces and defending the independence of Lebanon. Your sacrifices inspire all peoples around the world who are engaged in the fight against imperialism and neo-colonialism.
We join the global call to halt these barbaric attacks and demand the immediate cessation of hostilities by Israel. We also urge the international community, particularly the governments of Africa, to break their silence on this issue and stand in firm solidarity with the oppressed people of Lebanon and Palestine.
In this time of great difficulty, we pledge our unwavering support to the Lebanese Communist Party and the people of Lebanon, knowing that your resistance will continue to serve as a shining example to all oppressed peoples.
Victory to the resistance! Down with Zionism and imperialism!
